I suoi cocktail sono presenti nei migliori bar della Cina alle Americhe.
Il FINANCIAL TIMES annovera il Nottingham Forest tra i 5 migliori” molecular bar” del mondo.
Dal 2007 il Nottingham forest è nei “50 best bar in the world”.

Bartending since 12 years, started in a small coffee bar in heart of Como (Italy).
Frequented 3F American Bartender School. After collaboration with them I moved to London in 2003. A small experience in Chelsea brought me to meet leading people in the industry.
Then a contact let me to move to Dusk and after a short while promoted head bartender.
Heading Dusk until 2006 when they give me in hand a small jewel, Montgomery Place.
For 2 and half years I was attending guest and bartender from all over the globe, that is the Bar. During those years we archived few awards: best bar, best night out, best UK bartender 2006.
In a bartender career you need a Hotel experience at very high level and feel as the personality you read about in historic Cocktail Book.
In Spring 2008 the change arrived.
I moved as Bar Manager to the Connaught Hotel, he offered me the position as Head Barman and here there is another page of my life….!!!
Recently we have been awarded as Best UK Hotel Bar by Class Magazine.

Also short listed for best international bartender at Tales of the Cocktail 2008, 2009.
As well as best cocktail bar 2008 (Montgomery place, runner up) and 2009(best hotel bar, runner up).

Tales of the cocktail 2010 received the award as WORLD”S BEST BARTENDER and WORL”S BEST HOTEL BAR.

Proud of my home country, lover of fresh ingredients, herbs and spices, he is a big supporter of Italian product.
Side by side collaborating with Italian brands but not only.
Rediscover and share a true product , with a genuine heritage, and involve bartender in a new way to present cocktails looking after details in natural manners.

I also  collaborating with other liquor and spirit brand in order to enhance the italianess in the bar world!

Nowadays you can find me at the glorious Connaught Bar, and often travel the world to give training about bar, cocktail, people skills and up selling techniques.

Alex Kratena

Alex Kratena is one of the leading UK mixologist to emerge from London.
Originally from Czechoslovakia, Alex has had worked in various establishment around the globe on different continents from New York to Tokyo, from cyber trance club, to michelin star restaurant and 5star deluxe hotels. As a head bartender of award winning Artesian bar, The Langham Hotel, London he takes things to another level. Luxurious attention to detail is a hallmark of Kratena to approach to mixing drinks. He is renowned for his entertaining presentation style and bartending flair. When not tending the bar at The Langham, Alex can be found at fine London establishments sipping cocktail, or two, travels around the world, trains bartenders, tasting, drinking and eating and constantly honing his skills, knowledge and expertise.

Jim Meehan

Jim Meehan is a New York City based bar operator, consultant and author whose passion for beverage service has helped him become one of the most celebrated bartenders in the industry.
His career began in 1995 as a student at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he worked his way through school as a bartender. In 2001, he moved to New York City where he honed his skills in fine dining and developed his palate at Five Points Restaurant and Pace (now closed). Three years later, he got an opportunity to showcase his talent behind the bar at both Gramercy Tavern and The Pegu Club. In 2007, he was recognized as a rising star mixologist by Star Chefs Online Culinary Magazine.
Meehan is currently the general manager of PDT: a hidden cocktail lounge attached to a legendary East Village hot dog stand where he serves local beer and wine and features classically inspired seasonal cocktails he develops with his bartenders. PDT and it’s staff have received numerous awards and accolades including a 2009 spirit award for “World’s Best Cocktail Bar” at Tales of the Cocktail. The ongoing success of the bar has earned Meehan a second rising star award from Cheers Magazine and a spirit award for “American Bartender of the Year” in 2009.
In addition to his work behind the bar, Jim is a contributing editor of Food & Wine Magazine’s annual cocktail book, GQ.com, Liquor.com, Mr. Boston’s Bartender Guide and Sommelier Journal. He has created
cocktails for spirits companies, lectured and mixed drinks at local and international trade shows and works with the acclaimed B.A.R. team as a cocktail and spirits educator. Jim and his cocktails have been featured on television and the radio as well as in books and magazines: both locally and internationally.
